Chair Lift for Stairs (chairliftforstairs.com) (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information You Provide

  • Messages you send us: If you contact us, you may share an email address and whatever you include in your message.
  • Calculator inputs: When you use our cost calculator, your selections are processed entirely in your browser to generate an on-page estimate. We do not require an email address to view results.
  • Email estimate delivery (optional): If you ask us to email your estimate, we collect your email address and your calculator selections, and store them together with a record of your request (timestamp, IP address, and the consent text you saw). We use this to send you the estimate you asked for — a one-time email. If you also tick the separate guides checkbox and confirm via the link we send (double opt-in), we additionally store that subscription and may use Brevo (an EU-based email service) to manage the list. Every list email includes a one-click unsubscribe. We retain your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it — either works at any time via contact@chairliftforstairs.com. We do not sell this information.

Automatically Collected Information

We use two privacy-focused analytics services: Vercel Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics. Both are cookieless — they do not set cookies, do not fingerprint your device, and do not track you across other websites. They give us aggregated data such as:

  • Usage data: Pages visited, time spent on the site, and the referring page (where available)
  • Device information: Browser type, operating system, and device type
  • Location: Country-level only

Our hosting provider (Vercel) processes IP addresses transiently to serve pages and prevent abuse. Because we set no cookies and use no cross-site tracking, this site does not show a cookie banner — there is nothing to consent to.

How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Improve our calculator and content
  • Understand how people use the site (so we can make it clearer and easier)
  • Respond to messages you send us

Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share limited information with:

  • Service providers who help operate the site (for example, hosting/analytics)
  • Authorities if required by law or to protect the site from abuse

Data Retention

If you contact us, we retain those communications as needed to respond and for basic recordkeeping.

We do not intentionally retain calculator inputs in a way that identifies you personally.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you’ve shared with us. Where we rely on your consent to process information (for example, if you email us), you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us — we honor such requests regardless of where you live, since the only personal information we hold is what you have sent us directly.

Children

Our site is directed at adults researching mobility equipment. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
